The Man-Thing first appeared in issue 1 of Savage Tales (May 1971), based on an idea by Stan Lee developed by Roy Thomas and Gerry Conway. However, it was the scriptwriter Steve Gerber who gave the monster substance, creating stories of all kinds: adventure, horror, superheroic, social protest, revolving around this silent Man-Thing. Stories with a cloak of sadness and melancholy.
The artist Santiperez recreates in this original drawing the strength of this monstrous being.
