Jordi Buxadé was a comic artist and painter. He began his career in 1952 in the magazine Pocholo. A great enthusiast of the Western genre, he achieved success with the series “Jim Huracán”, created for the publisher Toray in 1959.
He worked for various Spanish publishers. For Editorial Bruguera he created “El capitán Serafín y el grumete Diabolín”, as well as several Western series such as “Ringo Ley” (1965), “Daniel Boom” (1969), and “Cowboy Tim” (1970). He also drew comic stories of Felix the Cat, Roy Tiger, and Bonanza for the international market.
Other series created by him include “Tyler Buck” and “Pecas Kid”. With Toutain Editor he also published a book dedicated to Fred Harman.
Buxadé combined comic art with advertising illustration and another of his great passions: playing jazz trumpet.
