Valentine’s day / Espinosa
The feast of Saint Valentine dates back to the 3rd century in Rome when the priest Valentine opposed the order of the Emperor Claudius that prohibited the celebration of young marriages, because he claimed that singles were better soldiers as they had nothing to lose.
On February 14, Saint Valentine was sentenced to death for this. From 1840 onwards, this day began to be celebrated as the day of lovers.
We present this original drawing by Espinosa to celebrate Valentine’s Day, with this possible tango that exudes love for the couple, or at least a good understanding. Whatever the case, it is pure art.
