Joan Mundet is a cartoonist, illustrator, painter, and ceramicist. He gave body and face to Captain Alatriste from the famous novels by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. He was the sole creator of the extensive comic Capablanca, the story of Joan Muntada, a bandit in Catalonia around the year 1600. Recently, he embarked on a Western comic series, with two titles already published: Bajo el cielo de acero and A orillas de la suerte.
Mundet has been a craftsman of the comic-art trade since his early publications back in the 1970s and 1980s. Many artists of his generation have already retired, but he remains hard at work, devoted to what he enjoys most: drawing comics.
Black Friday: For a limited time, until 12-02-2025, a selection of his original drawings is available at a discount at Origin of Comics.
