Antonio Bernal Romero (1924–2013) was a comic artist and illustrator specialized in cover art. His covers for series such as El Capitán Trueno, El Jabato, El Corsario de Hierro, and Joyas Literarias Juveniles left a strong mark on several generations of readers and are still remembered by thousands of fans. He is considered one of the greatest cover artists in Spain.
Before devoting himself fully to illustration, in the 1950s he drew several comic series, including Ralf McLane, El Capitán Robles, and Vendaval.
