Bosch Penalva

Antonio Bosch Penalva (1925-1996) was a cartoonist and illustrator. His first works appeared in the youth magazine Pulgarcito, published by Bruguera, with the comic Silver Roy, created by Rafael González, and in the magazine El Campeón, with the series Erik, el enigma viviente.
From the 1950s onward, he devoted himself to illustration, producing covers for romance, western, war, and other publications. He mastered every genre. His covers for Can Can magazine, featuring beautiful and elegant women, are remarkable.
In the 1960s he worked for the British market, creating covers and romantic serials for various titles. In the 1980s and 1990s he was a cover artist for several publications of The Phantom, created by Lee Falk.
